Cor has been active in the power generation field for 25 years with the last 9 years in renewable energy and solar energy in particular. For the first 16 years of his career, Cor was actively involved with the design and manufacturing of power boilers. Following this, he turned his attention to the renewable energy industry by founding Ironcor Solar Structures in 2016, specializing in bespoke solar structures, solar carports, solar car shelters and solar parking lots.
Cor has a range of experience in the industry in Alberta, and is an Alumni Fellow of the Energy Futures Lab, where his focus was placed on the energy transition away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy sources. Cor has also been deeply involved as a regional manager in several utility scale solar projects, totalling over 75 MW.
